For Canadian students high school courses are organized into three types – Academic, Applied and Open. All the courses are built on the Grade 8 curriculum.

The Academic Course focuses mainly on essential concepts of the subject. By emphasizing on the theoretical and abstract applications the student acquires the knowledge and skill to apply these essential concepts into practice.

The Applied Course emphasizes on the practical, concrete application of the essential concepts of the subject. Course works relates to familiar situations and provides students with extensive application of the concepts.

The Open Course is designed to provide students with a broad educational base. It prepares them for higher studies.

At Learning Scholars the curriculum is based on the course chosen by the student. The course structure is customized to suit the student’s specific needs.
